The Lower Merion Synagogue maintains a Mikveh Nashim (for women) and a Mikveh Kehlim (for utensils).
Lower Merion Synagogue has a Shabbat and Yom Tov Mikveh, to be used by women only, as well as the Keilim Mikveh.
The Mikveh is for the exclusive use of members of the Lower Merion Synagogue and their guests. For those who are not members of the shul, but would like to use our facilities, we have arranged a special reasonable membership rate. Please call the shul office at 610-664-5626 to join We invite you to become a part of this exciting venture. Anyone who is not either a shul member or a Mikveh privileges member is free to continue to use the two other Mikvaot that are currently operating in the adjoining neighborhoods. The other Mikvaot in the community are available on weekdays.
To arrange to use the LMS Mikveh all women should call Lower Merion Synagogue and select the Mikveh. It will give you the name of the Mikveh attendant for that week. You should then call the attendant by Wednesday to arrange an appointment for that Friday evening. Please remember that the Mikveh attendants are volunteers so please be considerate of their schedules. Towels will be provided at the Mikveh; it is not necessary to bring any with you. The halachot are posted on the walls of the Mikveh.
The LMS Mikveh Kelim is open during shul office hours 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Fridays. In addition, any of the gabbaim can open the
mikveh kehlim before or after daily davening. Instructions and halachot are posted on the wall of this mikveh. Please bring your own towels and take care to discard any trash properly.
