Midreshet Yom Rishon / Kollel Yom Rishon:

On two Sundays each month at LMS, Kollel Yom Rishon and Midreshet Yom Rishon programs are attended by large audiences eager to learn Torah. Attendees come from all over the Southeast PA area to hear from noted educators, scholars and lecturers.

Now in their third year at LMS, the Kollel/Midreshet Yom Rishon programs provide a unique opportunity to attend high quality, text-based shiurim on an array of topics. The men’s program begins after the 8:30 a.m. shacharit with a light breakfast followed by the shiur at 9:15 a.m. The women’s program begins with a light breakfast at 9:30 a.m. followed by the shiur at 10 a.m.

Past Kollel Yom Rishon speakers have included Rabbi Yonason Sacks, Rabbi Hershel Schachter, Rabbi Zvi Sobolofsky, Rabbi Reuven Taragin, Rabbi Yona Reiss, Rabbi Dr. Ephraim Kanarfogel, Rabbi Mordechai Willig, Rabbi Edward Reichman, and Rabbi Dr. Michael Rosensweig. Midreshet Yom Rishon speakers have included Peshi Neuberger, Shani Taragin, Nili Samet, Miriam Krupka, Atara Eis, Yael Liebowitz and Erica Brown.

A number of past Kollel Yom Rishon and Midreshet Yom Rishon shiurim are now available on YUTorah.  Enjoy!
