The Lower Merion Synagogue Youth Department has a full range of programming for children from toddlers through college. We look forward to seeing your children at our Shabbat groups, holiday programs, and special events. “Shevet Achim” Shabbat Children’s Programs

Meet from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m.

“Achdut”   Ages 3-5/6

Leader: Leta Borck & the LMS teens.

Upstairs double classroom, snacks provided

“Achva”     1st-2nd Grade Children

“Batya”      3rd-5th Grade Girls

“Chaverim” 3rd-5th Grade Boys

Babies Room

Opens at 10 am, upper level, for parent supervised play.


Teen Minyan is led by Joshua Friedman and the LMS Teens on the lower level beginning at 9:15 a.m.

The Parsha Forum for Middle School Girls is led by Miriam Coren and begins at 9:15 with Teen Minyan. The group then meets in the Social Hall.

Shabbat Afternoons

Bnos: Shabbat afternoons on the upper level for girls ages 3through Grade 6. Contact Meira Friedman at 610-617-9529 with any questions.

Pirchei–Torah Youth: Shabbat afternoons in the social hall for boys in Grades K-8. Contact Rabbi Silver or Rabbi Sruli Schwartz with any questions.

Bnei Akiva: Snif meets one hour and 15 minutes before Mincha on the lower level. For children in grades 3-8. For information, please contact Miriam and Asher Coren at lmbneiakiva@gmail.com. Please check the weekly announcements for meeting times.


Mommy & Me: Wednesdays from 9:30-10:45 am on the lower level. Mothers and female caregivers are invited to participate with children up to 3 years old. Mommy & Me is facilitated by Ayala Aidman.

 Mishmar & Cholent: Everyone is invited on Thursday nights from 9-10 pm, to an open Beit Midrash followed by cholent.
