Dedication Items

The Lower Merion Synagogue has a number of items available for dedication.

For a list of building items still available for dedication, ranging in price from $1,800 to $100,000, please contact the shul’s Executive Director, Gwen Horowitz. The dedication of any of these items entitles the purchaser to a plaque on the donor wall.



LMS Sunshine Cards are a quick and easy way of showing someone that you care. The cost per card is a minimum donation of $8.00.

When you are invited out for Shabbos or Yom Tov, are you tired of bringing that same old bottle of Kedem Concord Grape or “magic” box of Wissotsky Teas that your hosts need like a loch in kop? Why not give the gift that keeps on giving, an LMS Guest Card.

The money from these cards supports the shul. The cost of one card is a tax-deductible $15.00, or six may be purchased for $75.00. Please make your check payable to LMS and mail it to: Lower Merion Synagogue; P.O. Box 2528; Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Include any information you would like written on the card and it can be sent on your behalf. Or, the blank cards will be sent directly to you.



 Siddurim, chumashim and library books may be dedicated “in honor of” or “in memory of” a friend or a loved one as follows:

•  Hertz Chumash may be dedicated for $25

•  Library Book/Sefer in the Synagogue’s library may be dedicated for $36

•  Artscroll RCA Siddur may be dedicated for $36

 •  Artscroll Stone Chumash may be dedicated for $54

 A bookplate will display the name of the person you are honoring (or occasion, if applicable) or the name of the person in whose memory the book is donated, as well as the donor’s name and date of dedication.
